Electronic WorkflowWith the backing of Westchester Book Group's highly competent composition services, Westchester Book Services has the flexibility and technical expertise to manage projects according to established XML-based tagging systems.
We create the initial workflow based on whether we have been asked to edit the manuscript on paper or online. With a paper edit, XML codes are input when the book is either double keyboarded or the edits are entered onto the original disk files--depending on level of editing. With an online edit, the codes are entered by the copyeditor using Word styles and then they are translated into XML in our markup department.
